Executive Coaching

Coaching is a process, not an event; coaching by nature is multi-phasic:

Contracting Intake

Goals and Objectives
Understanding
Situation / Problems
Specific Goals
For Coaching Period
What are the Challenges
How To Reach the Goals
What is Environment

Plan of Action

Implementation Evaluation
Doing the work over time
Assessing the work

Completion
We have reached the goal.
The issue or concern that brought the client to coaching has been resolved or improved.
The key learnings are reviewed with the client, and the working contract formally ends.  Or, it ends and a new piece of coaching work begins...

Dana is a wonderful coach! I don’t think that I could’ve made this transition [to executive leadership] as smoothly or as quickly as I have if I were not coaching with her. I have recommended Dana many times and will continue to recommend her to anyone I know that needs to gain clarity and/or confidence to achieve their professional goals. I couldn’t imagine ever recommending anyone more highly!

John Proctor, Kaiser Permanente

A typical coaching cycle lasts three months to one year, dependent on the complexity of the issues and the investment of the client. Although coaching frequently focuses on issues of great personal importance to the client, coaching is not therapy.

“Coaching is not telling people what to do—
it’s giving them a chance to examine what they ARE doing,
in light of their intentions.”
